Some lighting never goes out of fashion. Our pendant lights take inspiration from traditional British lighting, combining familiar shapes with quality finishings to create designs that feel like they’ve always belonged. They’re modern with a traditional twist, perfect for creating a timeless look with tonnes of character.
Choose from prismatic, tulip or opal glass pendant lights alongside classic metal shades with an industrial edge. Each pendant is available in a variety of different brass, chrome and metal tones, so you can perfectly match the finish to your home.
We design our lights to fit perfectly in country cottages, period renovations, or for modern homes who love a timeless look. Ideal for main living room lighting, hung in a row above kitchen islands or fixed above a dining table, our pendant lighting collection will light up your day!
Complete the look with our collection of wall lights, designed to bring the same timeless character to every corner of your home.

How high should a pendant light hang?
This will depend on the height of your ceiling and what your light is hanging over. The general guide is 30-50cm below a standard 2.4m ceiling. The size of the lightshade will also impact the drop. Larger lights will look better with a shorter hang than smaller ones.
If you’re hanging a pendant light over a kitchen island or dining table, you need to make sure there is enough head room. The distance between the top of the worktop or tabletop and the bottom of your pendant should be around 76-91cm. This gives plenty of light while ensuring everyone can see each other across the table.
What is the difference between prismatic glass and opal glass pendant lights?
Both create a very different look and feel. Our prismatic glass pendant lights are made from thick, ridged glass that bends and refracts the light, creating a beautiful patterned effect and adding character to the room.
Opal glass pendant lights have a soft, milky-white finish that gently diffuses the light. They create a warm, even glow, making them a great choice for spaces where you want a softer, more relaxed atmosphere.
Which finish should I choose for my pendant light?
A simple way to create a seamless look is to match your pendant light to the finishes already in the room, such as door handles, cabinet hardware, taps or sockets. Our antique brass pendant lights bring warmth and timeless character, while our polished chrome and matte black finishes offer a cleaner, more contemporary feel. If you're looking for something with the appearance of aged metal, our dark bronze finish is a great choice for that antique look.
What size pendant light do I need?
The right size depends on where the light will hang and the scale of the room. A larger pendant can create a striking focal point above a dining table or kitchen island, while smaller pendants work well in pairs or groups. Think about the size of your furniture, the ceiling height and how much space you have around the fitting. If you're unsure, our team is always happy to help you choose the right size for your home.
Are your pendant lights suitable for kitchens and dining rooms?
Yes! All our traditional pendant lights are designed to work beautifully in kitchens and dining rooms. Hang a single pendant over a breakfast table, hang three above a kitchen island or create a statement over a larger dining table. Inspired by classic British design, our collection feels just as at home in country kitchens and period dining rooms as it does in modern homes.
